South Sea Island

south sea island

South Sea Island is a delightful tropical island paradise and the ultimate small island experience. The tiny coral island takes just a few minutes to walk around and is covered by sand. There's a fantastic snorkelling reef offshore, lots of water activities including para sailing and an all hours party atmosphere. There's even a swimming pool and the chance to take the exciting Seaspray sailing cruise to the outer Mamanuca islands as a day excursion. South Sea Island is the closest of the offshore islands from Nadi and is the ideal backpacker resort for those with limited time.
South Sea Island is a tiny coral cay just 90 paces across and takes less than five minutes to walk around. Owned by South Sea Cruises who operate the Yasawa Flyer, this is a popular stop over for backpackers on the way to the Yasawa Islands and is also used as a day trip island destination from Nadi. There's a fresh water swimming pool and Sanikai Spa for beach massages. The beach surrounding the island is coarse and snorkelling in the lagoon is not great. Accommodation is in a 32 =bed dorm above the restaurant area which shares 2 cold water bathrooms. Stopover as part of the Yasawa Island Travel Pass.
